Knitting socks is fun =)

This swap is for everyone who loves knitting socks.

I was looking for a swap like this but I did not find any so I create one myself.

That's what it's all about:

• you have to knit one pair of socks for your partner. Please do not use really cheap wool, because cheap wool tends to be torn very soon sometimes...

• write into your profile or in a comment what size the socks shall be for you. Please convert your size into "US-shoe-size" so it won't be confusing what size you need!!! you can read here ( http://www.i18nguy.com/l10n/shoes.html -- and scroll down a bit ) if you don't know your US-size

• you can make special socks with a complicated pattern. But if you do not know how to do this or you do not like knitting difficult patterns that's okay, too. But in this case make sure that you have interesting yarn ;)

I set the "sign up date" to a date that's after Christmas so everyone should be done with all the present-making and should have time to knit other things then =)

One and a half month should be enough for everyone to make a nice pair of socks. Thats my experience. If you don't think so then tell me and maybe we can push the "send date" a little more behind.

I made this swap international because I think that socks are easy to mail and postage should not be too expensive.

Please, NO NEWBIES for this swap, sorry! At least 10 rated swaps type 2 or 3! No recent 1's and only well explained 3's and old 1's.

UPDATE: I'll ban everyone who HAS NOT written his shoe-size in the comments/profile on the day of assigning the partners! So please write down your size. (I had some troubles in a similar swap ("Let's make a cell phone bag"), so I think this is necessary.) Here is a nice converter to avoid misunderstanding. Please write Europe and US size or at least US size(be careful with different male and female sizes).
