Mermaid Thaumatrope

What is a thaumatrope you ask? You all know about the bird in the cage illusion, right? Where you have a 2-sided circular card on a string. On one side of the card is a bird. On the other side is a cage. You twirl the string, making the card spin, creating the illusion that the bird in now inside the cage. That's a thaumatrope. =)

Well for this, you will be making your own version of this, but with a mermaid on one side, and whatever you would like on the other.

If you need to know more about this, you can look online. There are many examples and instructions on how to make your own. It's pretty simple. =)

Use whatever medium you would like. Make your card a minimum of 3 inches at its widest. And I'd suggest testing it before sending it to see how it looks and to make sure it stays together when you pull the string. =P
