Hand Painted/Drawn Outsider Art

This swap is for hand-drawn or painted outsider style art. What is outsider art? It is art by the self-taught (or appearing so) artist outside of the mainstream. It may be characterized by it's naive, innocent, flat, primitive look. It is unsophisticated and unrefined. Sometimes the artist is visionary, intuitive or eccentric. If in doubt, google the term and see definitions and images of outsider art.

You can paint/draw on any sturdy enough material. I typically use food carton cardboard, but use whatever works for you that is thicker than paper.

To join you must have at least a 4.5 rating.

This is sender's choice so you can start on your painting right away.

SIZE - Let's make this 'envelope sized', meaning that it will be approximately the size of the envelope (actually, slightly smaller to fit) you use to send it. This will vary, but the smallest regular envelope is about 3.5" x 6.5", so keep it at least near that size or larger.

RATING - Please don't forget to rate when you receive your art. If you receive a piece of painted/drawn artwork of at least the general size, the rating should be '5'.
