Your State in a Box - USA - (1 Person Per State)

For this swap, you will be sending one partner a small USPS flat-rate priority box (the one that costs $8.30 to send) filled with items that represent your state.

To eliminate the possibility of getting paired with another person in your same state, only one person is allowed in this swap from each state. You must "claim" your state in the comments below as soon as you sign up. If you see your state´s name already listed in the comments, please do not join. (If there is enough interest, we may do more rounds of this swap in the future.)

Once you are signed up, get a small flat-rate priority box from your post office and fill it with small items that represent your state. Things like postcards, magnets or other souvenirs, snacks or non-perishable food items typical of your area, regional crafts, seeds for native plants, regional recipes, a figurine or tiny stuffy of a native animal or famous person, etc. There must be at least 5 different types of items in the box (so if you send 4 postcards, that counts as only one item), but send more if that is what it takes to completely FILL that little box. Be proud of your state and generous in representing it!

Try to be thoughtful of what you put in the box. Those small priority boxes fill up fast, but you will be spending a good 8 bucks to mail it, so strive to make the contents worth the postage. Send a nice mix of items that you would be happy to receive. (Items are sender´s choice, but please check your partner´s profile for any allergies, etc.)

Plan on being a gracious, fairly-rating recipient, and to re-gift any items you receive that you may not particularly care for or are unable to use.

Partners will be assigned on January 24th and boxes should be mailed soon after that, by January 30th. A minimum rating average of 4.98 is required to participate, and you should have at least eight completed and rated (as 5s) type-3 swaps under your belt. (If your rating is slightly below that and you still want to participate, p.m. me and we can talk.) I reserve the right to ban anyone for any reason. I will angel, if necessary, but please don´t make that necessary.

One last note: No political comments/content/controversy is allowed, without exception.
